The newly upgraded FOCUS PX and GX series are the successors to the FOCUS PLUS Series, which became an instant top seller in the power supply market after its launch in 2017. In 2019, Seasonic engineers have made improvements to the popular series such as removing the inline capacitors on the supplied cables. Besides the small change in the series naming, the PSU housing and its packaging are also updated to be in line with the concept of the OneSeasonic Initiative.

Hybrid cooling power of the highest level

Built with quality components, this Seasonic FOCUS PX Platinum power supply will provide uncompromising voltage and  extraordinary reliability for long-term use. This highly efficient block incorporates an innovative fan control system that allows the fan to not start at low load and start only when the temperature requires cooling. If you want the fan to always be functional, it's easy: press the hybrid mode button on the back of the power supply. Entirely modular, it allows a customizable, clean installation, while helping to improve the internal airflow.

HYDRODYNAMIC BEARING FAN (FDB) 

High Performance Hydrodynamic Rolling Bearing (FDB) fans are designed to take advantage of the impact of oil absorption effects. They are extremely reliable and generate much less noise and heat in operation than ball-bearing fans. Lubricating the bearing surface reduces friction and vibration, which also reduces overall fan power consumption. Thanks to a smoother and quieter rotation and thanks to its quality of manufacture, this very reliable technology also increases the life of the fan.

As the fan shaft rotates, high-pressure oil spreads along the grooves in the bearing bushing to create a thin layer of lubrication on the ball bearing. As the speed increases, so does the dynamic pressure of the oil. The fan shaft then lifts off the bearing to turn effortlessly. The chevron shape of the grooves effectively channels the lubricant and prevents leakage.

HYBRID FAN CONTROL FOR MORE SILENCE

Seasonic's vast experience in developing the most efficient and quiet power supplies on the market has been reflected in the development of Hybrid mode; State-of-the-art fan control that allows users to keep the noise level as low as possible.

The latest Seasonic platform keeps output voltages in a tight margin with less than 0.5% load variation. This performance and impressive electrical stability make this power supply the ideal choice for all high performance machines. In addition, the Seasonic FOCUS range is designed with a reduced acoustic signature to reduce operating noise.

80PLUS PLATINUM CERTIFICATION AND WIRELESS DESIGN

The series FOCUS Platinum PX from Seasonic receives certification 80PLUS Platinum with an efficiency of 92% to 50% of the system load. Seasonic's

continued commitment to the development of quality analog power supplies has lowered ripple levels well below the industry standard of 20mV. The engineers at Seasonichave implemented a new internal design where, instead of cables, the rear panel and printed circuit board (PCB) are connected by a copper plate. This advance not only reduces the chances of production error during the manual manufacturing phases but also improves the quality of output voltages.
