The ASUS ROG Thor 1000W Platinum III is a 1000 W gaming power supply designed for high-performance desktop systems. It combines ATX 3.1 compliance with a PCIe Gen 5.1 16-pin power connection, 80 PLUS Platinum efficiency and Cybenetics Lambda A++ acoustic certification.

A GaN MOSFET, GPU-First voltage sensing with an intelligent voltage stabilizer, Turbo Mode and 0dB technology support demanding systems, while the detachable magnetic OLED display provides real-time power-draw monitoring and can be positioned on either side of the PSU.

Compatibility & Important Information

The ROG Thor 1000W Platinum III complies with ATX 3.1 and includes a 750 mm PCIe Gen 5.1 16-pin cable capable of supplying up to 600 W to compatible PCIe 5.1 graphics cards. GPU-First voltage sensing is designed specifically for compatible 16-pin PCIe power cables and is not available through 8-pin PCIe power cables.

The power supply measures 190 × 150 × 86 mm. Chassis compatibility should account for its 190 mm length and additional clearance for the modular cables.

The magnetic OLED display can be attached to either side of the power supply to accommodate fan-up or fan-down installation. The 0dB fan control can stop the cooling fan under suitable operating conditions, while Turbo Mode provides an alternative fan profile for demanding workloads.
