The Synology DiskStation DS1525neo+ is a 5-bay network attached storage system powered by the AMD Ryzen V1500B quad-core processor. It combines five SATA drive bays, two M.2 2280 NVMe slots and dual built-in 2.5GbE networking to provide a flexible platform for centralized storage, backup, file synchronization and private cloud applications.

The DS1525neo+ comes with 4 GB DDR4 non-ECC SODIMM memory and supports expansion up to 32 GB. Storage capacity can grow from five to fifteen drive bays using up to two Synology DX525 expansion units, while a dedicated PCIe Gen3 x2 network upgrade slot provides an additional path for higher-speed networking.

Compatibility & Important Information

• The DS1525neo+ is supplied with one 4 GB DDR4 non-ECC SODIMM module and supports memory expansion up to 32 GB.
• The DS1525neo+ supports compatible Synology ECC memory upgrade options, but ECC and non-ECC memory modules must not be mixed.
• For multi-module memory configurations, Synology requires installed memory modules to be identical and share the same model number.
• Compatible storage includes supported 3.5-inch SATA HDDs, 2.5-inch SATA SSDs and M.2 2280 NVMe SSDs. Storage drives are sold separately.
• Synology recommends checking the official compatibility list before purchasing HDDs or SSDs.
• M.2 SSD slots do not support hot swapping. Compatible NVMe SSDs can be used for SSD cache or supported M.2 storage pools.
• Expanding beyond five drive bays requires Synology DX525 expansion units. Up to two DX525 units are supported for a maximum of 15 drive bays.
• The optional Synology E10G22-T1-Mini network module can add a 10GbE RJ-45 connection and is sold separately.
